Dermot Keilthy
Director, Regulatory Affairs
Dermot is responsible for REACH’s global regulatory affairs. He has over 30 years business and telecommunications experience and joined REACH in 2001. Prior to that, Dermot worked in a number of executive regulatory positions for PCCW (formerly Cable & Wireless-HKT) in the lead up to the liberalisation of the domestic fixed telecommunications market in Hong Kong in 1995, and subsequent regulatory changes liberalising the Hong Kong external telecommunications market.
Prior to joining PCCW, Dermot worked for the Cable & Wireless Group. This included a corporate finance role in the London office commencing in 1986, before being seconded to Hong Kong Telecom (HKT) in 1990, and then spending two years in Australia from 1992 helping to establish Optus as the second fixed and mobile telecommunications operator in the country.
Before joining the Cable & Wireless Group, Dermot worked for the Rank Organisation plc in the UK. He commenced his career in 1976 with Deloitte Haskins and Sells in London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Dermot has a Bachelor of Science (Econ) degree from University College Swansea in the United Kingdom. |
